Review of the GoSkippy, Car insurance:

WORST INSURANCE COMPANY EVER! DO NOT USE!

I am being chased from a debt collection agency on behalf of Go Skippy of a sum £216.16 when I cancelled my policy with them last year. They falsely advised me when I had my Insurance out with them! I was involved in an accident where the 3rd party insurer went in the back of me! The 3rd party insurer and his insurance company admitted full liability to me on the phone and also spoken with my insurance company Go Skippy at the time and informed them the same. (easy claim, yes?, NO!) Well as the claim was proceeding Go Skippy said to me that they 3rd party insurer didn't admitted full liability and that they never did, they never advised me that they did either. So I was basically lying according to them. So anyway they closed down my claim and told me that there is nothing else they can do as I was 3rd Party Fire Theft and to seek a no sale no fee solicitor. Had I have been completely naive and took their word for it, then I would have lost alot of money. But instead I called the 3rd party insurer and a company called Enterprise who were helping with the claim and got the case reopened and the 3rd party insurer paid it to me direct. Not even such much as an apology for how they have treated me throughout this whole ordeal. And if that wasn't enough they are chasing me for debt that I don't owe them. I'm still trying to sort this out and have been on the phone to them for the past 1H 30Mins and still no resolution yet. STAY WELL CLEAR OF THE INSURANCE COMPANY! Reviewed on: 9th March 2018

Awful company DO NOT use.

Awful company DO NOT use. Tried to charge over £800 altogether for one months car insurance. Had cancelled insurance before agreeing to a credit agreement by the specified date given as i didn't need to insure my 17 yr old anymore. Yet they are proceeding to try and charge me excessive cancellation fees rather than just the standard £75 cancellation. They use premium credit. DO NOT USE. Reviewed on: 14th January 2024

Should be called 'Go SLIPPY' SCAMMERS!

I came through a comparison website, i paid the premium in full on their website but was unable to change my registration number so i rang them, came through to a call centre in India when i got this snotty stuck up woman. They wouldnt change my reg without charging me further, i asked to speak with a manager and i was refused to be transferred so i cancelled the policy but they wouldnt refund the full amount so i lost £150! Terrible product and service.

Terrible product and service. They added a lot of charges that are hidden in the policy documents, and are cleverly worded so they are slightly different in various places. Read the genuine reviews carefully. They clearly pay for review to keep their score high. Reviewed on: 7th January 2024

DONT USE SKIPPY INSURANCE

DONT USE SKIPPY INSURANCE Had the policy that started on the 21 12 2023. I believe That I had added my work usage, I was shocked that in in a short period of time 2/1/2024 I was charged £35 admin fee to amended. Worst experience

Got into an accident where the other driver was at fault and go skippy have not provided a courtesy car, they have not gotten my car repaired, as the other driver is with their insurance company and is not answering the phone! They want me to pay my excess of £850, instead of holding the other driver liable! I’ve never had worse insurance from an insurer in all my time as a driver! Reviewed on: 2nd January 2024

Avoid!!!!!!!

Add ons!!

Seemed the cheapest car insurance for a sort of new male driver, then came the 'add ons'! Only discovered when I saw the £50 increase in the direct debit payment! I then needed to change my address which they said would cost a further £870!! Nope! Going to Admiral which is half the monthly cost at my new address and a lot lower deposit. If they try and rinse me with a 'cancellation' fee, they will have to deal with my solicitor. Nothing but a rip off company. Reviewed on: 20th December 2023

Punitive cancellation charges

Punitive cancellation charges. I paid over £400 annual insurance premium on 17/10. Just cancelled the policy less than 2 months later (received a motability car for my disabled daughter so no longer need the car) and only received a refund of just over £200. So I've paid circa £200 for 6 weeks insurance. I'm sure the response will be that it's written in the Policy documents, but i still feel the cancellation fee is excessive.
