SVR not come down after 3 interest rate cuts. SVR not come down after 3 interest rate cuts. Savings rates have come down. SVR goes up immediately interest rates go up. Gross profiteering imo. Reviewed on: 25th March 2025

Flawless from start to finish!

We were extremely lucky to work with Jane from The Hanley on the purchase of our first property together, from the start we knew that we had gone to the right place and felt extremely valued. The time and effort put into our application ensured that everything went smoothly and the purchase of our house was processed quicker than we anticipated - a huge contrast to the horror stories we had heard from friends and family who had used larger lenders!! Exceptional Customer Service

As first time buyers we were really nervous about buying a house and had been burnt by a mortgage advisor who provided us with a mortgage-in-principal which was wrong so we were unable to get a mortgage on the house we put on offer on through her. However, after being recommended The Hanley through both family and friends, we made the phone call and got a prompt appointment. Jane Longmore was able to help us straight away with a mortgage that met our needs. Even through these truely unprecidented times, she was able to offer us the support we required and we have been living in our house for over 2 months now. We could not thank her enough! Very positive experience

Knowledgeable, supportive and friendly

As first time buyers we were more than impressed at the service provided by Hanley Economic Building Society. We spoke with Jane, one of the mortgage advisors - she was wonderful. I have gone through the mortgage process twice before with the larger high street banks, so I cannot stress enough how exceptional The Hanley are. Their customer service is impeccable and communication is consistent throughout the process. They truly make you feel like a valued customer and are very patient and accommodating should things go wrong with your purchase. Clear and friendly advice at The Hanley

We held an arranged mortgage interview with adviser Jane Longmore which was very thorough and answered all our questions. She made us very much at ease and was not in any way pushy. Because we had very particular requirements we eventually chose another lender but The Hanley couldn't have done more to help us. And they are very competitive on their rates!
