Review of the Just Travel Cover, Travel insurance:

Good Quote, but rubbish customer service

I took out medical cover travel insurance for my husband for a cruise we were going on in December 2016. To keep the cost down I went for a policy with a £75 excess. My thinking for this was I would be more than happy to pay £75 if per chance he took unwell whilst on board ship. Part of the deal we had with the cruise company we had one night in a hotel in Barcelona. Hotel was based in La Ramblas and it was a good hotel. Never for one minute did I think my husband would have his backpack stolen whilst sitting in the Hotel restaurant! , but that is what happened. We had to replace the medication stolen. My claim was for £88.48, but with a £75 excess that left my claim total of £13.48. First they said they did not receive my paperwork, but would get someone to phone my back, which they never. Luckily I had proof the documents had been sent and when I phoned them back and said so, he presto they found my claim forms. Next they gave me back £9:05 so again i had to phone back and point out to them I had with my claim forms given proof by a copy of my credit card statement that I should have been given £13:48. I have just heard that they now acknowledge the underpayment, but I am still waiting on the £4:43 to hit my bank account. I also had non medical insurance with another company and was paid within one week. Will never use Just Travel again. Reviewed on: 12th February 2017

A Company worth knowing

When recently making a claim for a stolen suitcase, my claim was outsourced to tifgroup who are basically saying they do not beleive me!

Unbeatable

Best cover I've found for over 70s. Very flexible.

We are relatively healthy couple without major underlying condition We were able to get coverage with Just Travel. The process for reclaiming after an accident while on holiday in 2022 was easy. I also like that I can get medical insurance for USA without also taking out a lot of insurance for items I don't need. They also acted very honorably while we were on holiday when Covid started.
