Insurance.... That I enjoyed signing up to?!?!

Having seen lots of people I follow on social media talk about laka and how different it was compared to stereotypical insurance.... curiousity killed the cat and i thought, how different could it be? Boy was i wrong! Lowest average price per month, community feel (for buying insurance - crazy!) and i didn’t feel like I was settling for the best of a bad bunch. The process was so easy to sign up to and I didn’t even realise I could also insure my accessories and even clothing! On top of this, a rolling contract that I can leave anytime if I find a cheaper provider (fat chance, but it’s nice to have the option), ability to change my policy and update it daily rather than monthly if I buy new gear. It honestly feels like they’ve thought of everything - you even get discount on popular cycling brands, the cherry on top of the cake! A slick website with online chat facilities that makes the process simple, smooth and easy to follow and I can far and away tell you that you will be impressed with Laka. Now, they say you only know how good your insurance is when you need to claim which fortunately I haven’t had to do yet but seeing all the reviews and the fact the total value you insure does not depreciate, I couldn’t be more sure that I’d be very satisfied with the outcome if I had to claim. Flawless insurance

Feel good insurance

Fair insurance, great service, knowledgable staff. I've never felt compelled to recommend an insurer before, but I have recommended Laka to many. I've been forunate that I haven't had to claim, but know someone who has and it was just a stellar experience. Gone is the knot of uncertainty that usually comes with insurance, I feel confident I'm protected by my Laka cover. IMO this is Insurance the way it should be! Reviewed on: 31st July 2020

I joined Laka as a friend said they were very pro-cyclists and that we can get initially £25 discount, so I decided to take the plunge. After several months I hadn't used it for any reason but 3 weeks ago, I was on club ride and suddenly the first two riders were avoiding water on the side of the road and moved to the middle but as the day was soo cold it was freezing weather and the entire group slid. I ended up with the most damage and wasn't able to even ride on or home. So taxi it was! I took photos, contacted Damir and the rest was soo easy, they were always there when I sent a message and arrange a local bike company to collect and repair, within a week they managed to fully repair and I was back on the road. Nothing else but praise for this company. I highly recommend as I usually ride every weekend and with the knowledge that Laka will always be there if I have an accident.
