Not what it says on the tin

are we talking about the leak United building society? The literature is not supported by what happens in practise. Getting a further advance from them is a nightmare. Reviewed on: 30th March 2023

Sound caring advice

Superb personal service. Face to face meeting was a refreshing change. Not only was the mortgage advisor very knowledgeable and found us the mortgage which perfectly fitted our needs but you also felt that she really cared about you as a person. Reviewed on: 30th March 2023

Mortgage Fixed Term

Myself and partner took out our first mortgage in 2005 and every 3 or 5 years we have a review. That works for us, a new fixed term suits us perfectly especially in this current climate. Excellent customer service

We have been members since 1994. The service is personal and if you have a problem, they go above and beyond to help. Their rates and products are very competitive. I wouldn't use anyone else for our mortgage. Reviewed on: 4th March 2023

A good solid reliable building society with real people in charge.

I took out my first mortgage with the leek in the late seventies when it was hard to get one with any of the big lenders even at sixteen percent! leek have always been of gereat help and a source of good impartial advice. I have seen a lot of employees come and go over the years some spending there entire working life at the leek, always helpful and glad to be of assistance to some it may be "old style" to have real counter staff and managers etc but but to most "normal investors" it is reasuring to have stability and integrity in the insttution that is providing you with the biggest financial Involvement that you will ever undertake. Not eveything can be done on the internet or over the phone! it's Good to Talk face to face to an understanding person as and when you need it, "Leek United the good face of finance."
