Good rates but difficult to manage

Interest rate good and service friendly. But after 18 months the the type of account was withdrawn and I couldn't add any more money, so I closed the account. The lack of online service made this very difficult - other providers said they couldn't deal online with Mansfield. Reviewed on: 24th March 2026

Staff assistance has been excellent.

Staff assistance has been excellent. However, when I need the savings, having to send the Savings Book back to Mansfield with a letter requesting the money and waiting for the cheque in the post is very ackward in view of the current life speed. This should be updated, in line with practically all other savings building societies, whereby account holder has registered their main current account and the money from Mansfield is transferred to the 'nominated' bank accout. Pozitive customer experience

Positive experience
