It USED to be fairly easy to open an account

Unlike the other banks, you USED to be able to walk in and open a business account - not any more. Covid is being used as a general excuse for long call wait times, no service etc. They wriggled hard to avoid giving bounce back loans. No pdf receipts for more transactions, no text possible etc. Reviewed on: 14th March 2021

Wonderfully customer-focused bank.

I love Metro bank. My business adviser, Chris Dickman, is super quick to respond to any issues that occur. I have his mobile number and direct email address. Recently, when an overseas client payment was stuck, he helped to resolve it even though it wasn’t technically Metro Bank’s fault. All this, and my business is micro so I don’t make a huge amount of money for the bank. Metro bank is the model of the future - I feel cared for and listened to. Customer service is second to none and online banking is smooth and easy. Staff at the Piccadilly branch are courteous and always ready to help - I don’t have a bad word to say about any of them. Swapped from one of the bigger banks as their service was so impersonal. So glad I chose Metro! Reviewed on: 14th March 2021
