Great bank account for a small business. The FreeAgent software is incredibly useful, and providing it free with the bank account is real value for money. The app is user friendly and works well. Reviewed on: 20th March 2026

I've found Mettle to be an excellent online bank; very convenient, helpful and syncs well with my accounts system. They don't take overseas payments which is my only issue. Reviewed on: 20th March 2026

It’s so simple, really useful for a small business, accessible and makes book keeping a breeze. I feel on top of my small business finances on a day to day basis and since moving to them I’ve had very little stress or anxiety over managing the side of being self employed that has previously been a source of stress and anxiety. Mettle is the best bank for small UK businesses

Mettle is a really simple to use and reliable banking app. When you ever need any support then their customer service is absolutely first class and they are very helpful. The biggest bonus is the free inclusion of the FreeAgent accounting software which is simple and easy to use and also has excellent customer support. I always recommend Mettle as the best banking option for anybody who has a small UK business. Reviewed on: 20th March 2026
