I opened a Mettle account in the first few weeks after going self-employed, and it's one of the best business decisions I made. The app is so easy to use and it allows you to keep on top of incoming and outgoing payments on the go. The free subscription to Freeagent is a real plus, and cuts out admin needed to match up payments with invoices. I often recommend Mettle to people starting out in business, and will continue to do so! Reviewed on: 18th March 2025

Excellent bank (and app!) for small businesses

Excellent bank for sole traders or small businesses like mine. App is excellently designed. Only two areas where I feel they need to improve is: (1) allow transaction searching by amount of transaction and (2) allow international payments or at least facilitate the setting up of this via Natwest's main bank.
