Beats established high street banks hands-down.

I had a business bank account with an established high street bank. However as a sole trader, I wanted a bank account that didn't charge fees, and had an excellent app. Mettle ticks the box for both! The icing on the cake is the provision of the FreeAgent accounting software. This has revolutionised my invoicing and really helps me keep track of my finances. The whole package of account+app+FreeAgent is streets ahead of what my old bank was offering. Best of all it's free! Reviewed on: 18th March 2025

Great design, super quick set up and so easy to use

As a newly self employee person with limited time I was able to get set up super quickly and easily and felt confident my money would be in good hands.
