Review of the Monese, Money Account:

Avoid this service at all costs.

I am extremely disappointed with Monese. My account has been blocked/disabled, and I am unable to perform any operations, whether internal or external transactions, or even use my card. To make matters worse, my savings are completely locked, and the customer support is unresponsive. I have sent numerous emails, attaching all required bank statements, but all I receive are the same automated replies with no actual resolution or communication from their team. This has been a frustrating and stressful experience, and I wouldn’t recommend trusting Monese with your money. Avoid this service at all costs. Reviewed on: 17th January 2025

Avoid these lying losers

On only my second transaction, they somehow "lost" nearly 500 euros I was transferred. Monese tell me they have not received the funds, but the sender's bank says they traced the transfer and got a message confirming funds had been received and deposited in the payee's account. I have to assume Monese put my funds in someone else's account and can't now be bothered to find them. They keep saying the money, if it existed, would be returned to the sender within 2 weeks - it's been THREE MONTHS now. Customer service is dismal, days and days talking to a chatbot before someone in Estonia finally answers, unhelpfully. In my case trying Monese was a mistake - a very expensive mistake! Swapped from Barclays as the app is very outdated, and Barclays charge if I use my card in the EU, never looked back! One of the best banks I have ever used, simple but efficient app!
