If Cora doesn't understand the question you get rubbish answers

I asked Cora if Rewards are taxable. I asked if Rewards should be declared as interest on your tax return. I received totally unrelated answers. Reviewed on: 27th January 2023

Causing debt

I have tried using my app,telephone banking and even logged into my online account to try to speak tp an Actually Human but despite your add saying withing 5 mins it's telling me 2 HOURS ? To a time sensitive issue caused because of NATWEST BEING ITS USAUL UNHELP SELFISH SELVE,thanks for causing me an extra £15 of debt due to the the fact that I had left monies in my account to cover my dd I miscalculated which would have fallen short by a messily 16 pence,Natwest. Decides to refuse the dd then help themselves to £2.50 REUSED PAYMENT CHARGE SO NOW dd company have added another £12.50 late dd charge! So how does that work instead of allowing dd natwest anf talk talk dd have swindled a customer and both earned themselves a nice little profit together Reviewed on: 26th January 2023

Frustration

Cora has a limited database. If it fails a person will answer by text. The procedure is frustrating and difficult without good keyboard skills. Anyone struggling with this system is abandoned, which usually happens if the problem is not on an extended FAQ list it seems. It is time-consuming and hugely frustrating. When the problem cannot be resolved there seems to be no final "long-stop" support. Does any other bank have a better approach, I wonder? Reviewed on: 26th January 2023

Hopeless in dealing with non run-of-the-mill problems.

I wanted to obtain a document needed by a Spanish finance house. Cora just kept saying “sorry I didn’t understand the question”. Eventually I got past Cora only to receive a message saying someone would get in touch in less than two hours. Hardly comparable to the old help lines, so a backward step putting cost savings before customer service. Even with the message I received, it didn’t resolve my query, and I was simply given options. When Cora can’t help and there is a specific (possibly unusual) question, surely a human can handle it. So, not impressed. Reviewed on: 26th January 2023
