Happy with this account so far

I was offered this account when I was preparing to go up to uni. It's worked well for me and I particularly like the huge interest free overdraft. I've also used the card free ATM facility as this has come in very handy - thanks NatWest! Reviewed on: 8th June 2015

Helpful bank, good overdraft limit.

I've been very happy with Natwest having had my student account with them for the last 6 years. They slowly increased my overdraft to the maximum which stopped me spending everything at once. Very helpful in branch and on the phone. Reviewed on: 29th April 2015

Amazing and smooth

When i was starting university i went for a walk round manchester with friends looking at student accounts at different banks, i ended up going for the natwest student account not because of what they offer on the student account but actually what they offer on their graduate account. they dont expect you to pay your overdraft off straight after you finish university they give you two years to do it. Free student rail card

I have no complaints with my Natwest Student Account. Large overdraft if needed and I also received a student 16-25 railcard for the 4 years while I was at university which was great. However, I am not sure if they are still offering this.. They now offer a Tastecard membership which some students might find useful if they download the app and are looking to save money when they eat out. Reviewed on: 19th March 2015

I really love my bank in Ashton, Denton and Stockport which I use mostly; as they are always willing to help you.

I was being targeted by this evil racist junkie in our block of flats who happens to lodge with his sister; who told him I was to inherit some money- unbeknown to me. He has tried everything scam to try and get hold of my account number. This has included, getting one of his friend to stand behind me at the cash point inside the bank to get my cash when I reached for my receipt. The staff have been wonderful as I was so anxious that he could get a credit card in my name and run up a huge bill to pay for his £700 per week habit. The different staff have continued to reassure me every time I hear about his next scam; which is to tell the postman that I'm his girl friend so he will hand over my mail. This is of course untrue, but that doesn't concern him. I have to identify myself when I go into the bank to use my account ; but this is nothing compared to what he has done in the past to pay for his drugs. He has even phoned up Natwest bank to ask for my details, he is that desperate for cash. Reviewed on: 9th January 2015

Great free overdraft

Provides a great overdraft, which increases over your degree length Reviewed on: 6th October 2014

Overdraft helps but some of the benefits not that great

Pros: It gives me a decent free overdraft Cons: Offers Tastecard membership...not that essential for a student Reviewed on: 3rd October 2014
