Verification process sucks

Tried to get a Natwest Travel Rewards Credit card. Wasted 2 attempts (of multiple calls) in an attempt to getting this sorted. The issue is not the customer care but the lack of information that is shared by the backend underewriters via the Customer care to fix the issue and get moving forward. Niether the bank statements, nor the payslips seem good enough as the income proof and the customer care cannot comment on exactly why as they act as the middle man/woman. When they asked for further information such as employment contract etc. i backed off as there is a limit to how much info i want to share with anyone about my personal matters. Bank statements - OK, makes sense. Payslips are pushing it - but i did it either way. Anything else?? Thats where i draw the line. PS: Simultaneously i applied for a Santander Rewards Credit card (similar Travel benefits) for the same credit limit and got it done in less than 15 min in 1 attempt. Card is on its way to me now. Have banked with Natwest since the 90s.

Have banked with Natwest since the 90s. Have never had a problem with them or their customer service. I do like the Rewards and the option to have a linked kids' Rooster account. Solid choice for a current account. Reviewed on: 20th April 2026

The most customer friendly banking app.

The most customer friendly banking app. Great Customer Service. Rewards fairly easy to collect and exchange for credit to bank account or voucher for all sorts of vendors. Annual financial health check included. Reviewed on: 18th April 2026

Straight forward banking

Straight forward when opening the account, mobile app is great, one thing to improve is how long it takes for a new account to be visible in the app. There always seems to be a time gap.. otherwise, great banking. Reviewed on: 17th April 2026
