The process of having to Re - Register was helped by Ryan due to my slow key board skills, lots of time given. It was very useful to be able to speak to him directly later in the day to finish the process. - Outstanding Reviewed on: 27th February 2024

Horrific customer service alton branch

I went into the alton branch at 3.30 on the 26.2.24 and there were two customer assistants bickering and being extrely un proffessional . The male assistamt kept chipping in while the female tried to at least remain proffessional and at 1 point i said to them this is really unproffessional behavior and the male just shrugged his shoulders at me . With that the female carried on whilst the male sat spinning on his chair and shaking a water bottle. And at one point the male said to the female I got a really funny story to tell you and she said tell me later. At one point the female said to the male your just stupid. I was mortified it has always been professional in there and my family have used the service for many years. I will not be going back in there Reviewed on: 26th February 2024

I wanted to open a new savings account with Newbury...

I wanted to open a new savings account with Newbury to deposit an inheritance cheque. I chose the Senior Savers Account as the interest rate is good. Prior to visiting the Branch I had printed off and filled in the application form. In Branch It was a very straightforward and easy process. I just presented the forms and ID and I didn't even have to make an appointment, it was done then and there. My new Pass book arrived by post the following day. I have been a very satisfied customer of Newbury Building Society for a few years now. The customer service has always been good, the interest rates are competitive and we are lucky to have a Branch in Basingstoke. Thank you Newbury. Reviewed on: 24th February 2024

Excellent service

I recently opened a new savings account online. I already have two savings accounts with Newbury Building Society but the new one for existing customers has a higher interest rate which I made maximum use of. All my accounts have good interest rates, but I also like the fact that there is a branch local to me. When first investing I wanted to visit a branch rather than opening an account online due to concerns about internet scams. The staff could not have been more helpful and were happy to run through all options with me. Reviewed on: 23rd February 2024

Very good in store customer experience

Very good in store customer experience to open two ISA accounts. However, we had to make two round trips ( each 1 hr + 25 niles) to do this as immediate on the spot help was not available. We could not do this on line. Reviewed on: 23rd February 2024
