Initial contact was with Sarah Thompson, a calm and careful listener. Sarah arranged an appointment for us . Next day we met with manager Justine Ransom who talked us through the small print , after listening to our opening chat. Very clear , concise explanation to all points. A credit to your company. Opening Bond account online

I used myaccounts to open a fixed rate bond (29/07/26). When thinking about whether to open a bond, there was inadequate information online about how to fund it. Questions such as how long do I have after opening to fund the bond; can I add funds from more than one source or over more than one day. I was surprised at the requirement to upload identity documents, given that I was an existing member of the society and of the fact that it took over a week after uploading before I could fund the bond. I tried to fund the new bond by transferring money from my Treasure Plus account. This just gave an error response and a phone number to ring. When I rang I was told that I couldn't transfer online, but the staff had to do it. They did the transfer for me efficiently the same day, although I was surprised that no security questions were asked before accepting my request. Reviewed on: 22nd December 2023
