Really friendly, helpful staff and also easy to add funds by internet as well.

I met staff of Newbury Building Society at Abingdon Air Show and liked the sound of the account which I subsequently opened in branch. The service I received in branch was very good and the whole process was very smooth. Since then I have used internet access which again is very user-friendly (I'm not computer-savvy, so need simple systems!). Reviewed on: 4th January 2018

Helpful, clear explanations and prompt service.

I was opening a savings account. The appointment was made quickly and the interview itself was conducted very well. Every effort was made, it seemed to me, to understand my situation and needs. As a result, the arrangements made to open the most appropriate accounts went without a hitch. Passbooks arrived two days later! Reviewed on: 31st January 2020

Locally focussed and great to deal with

I visited to open a ‘Welcome to Newbury’ account and found the experience excellent. Newbury Building Society feels like part of the local community and the staff are very welcoming and knowledgable. Opening an ISA with the Newbury Building Society

As I already had a savings account with Newbury, the process did not take long. I was in and out in about half an hour. Ken at the Basingstoke Branch was very helpful and friendly and gave me all the information I needed to know. The service was very quick and efficient: thepassbook arrived the following day. Friendly and efficient

why cant every financial experience was so enjoyable?

Service like no other and great rates

I have been to a couple of NBS branches now and everyone has been friendly and helpful. I was even offered a better account without asking, not something I get from the banks until I threaten to take my money away. Not to mention the best interest rates on my local high street. A star provider

This is the only savings provider that contacts me to tell me there is a better account for my specific circumstances...having remembered what those are !!!' No other provider gives such a personal service. Would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family. Reviewed on: 20th January 2020
