Really friendly, helpful staff and also easy to add funds by internet as well.

I met staff of Newbury Building Society at Abingdon Air Show and liked the sound of the account which I subsequently opened in branch. The service I received in branch was very good and the whole process was very smooth. Since then I have used internet access which again is very user-friendly (I'm not computer-savvy, so need simple systems!). Reviewed on: 4th January 2018

Love the community cohesion shown by this building society

How many financial institutions care about their communities to the degree that the Newbury building society does, they set an excellent example to all bankers and for this reason I vote for them to win the savings category, I have no experience of their mortgage services. A safe home for liquid investments

The local staff of Newbury Building Society are efficient, friendly and professional. The Building Society offers a slightly higher savings interest rate to their customers for some of their accounts, and limits the amount that can be invested in these accounts so this is not to the detriment of borrowers from the Building Society. Helpful staff & competitive rates

It was easy to set up the account and online access. Staff are always helpful. I originally chose the account because the rates are competitive and I am pleased that the service is also good. Reviewed on: 7th January 2020

Good for small savings

Savings rates are good, but amounts you can save are very limited. Web experience is really poor, but customer service staff are excellent. Executive team don't seem to be doing a good job on web front or savings amounts. Reviewed on: 7th January 2020
