Car insurance

I initially set up my insurance on line which was simple to follow instructions and easy to use. One call car insurance took care of the rest and sent me a confirmation email and receipt for payment, l then received my insurance by chosen method through the post within four days and everything was as required and l had total customer satisfaction. I have spoken to One call over the phone since and they were very helpful land dealt with my inquiry straight away. I would definitely recommend One Call insurance to my friends and family. Useles staff and company

I planned a trip through France and Spain by car for a week, called ONE CALL three times to make sure nothing would screw my trip and I would be completely covered. They told me that all I had to do was tell them when and where I was going to travel to, what I did on my third phone call. First phone call: ask how to do it (03/12/2019) Second phone call: check and make sure nothing ruins my trip 03/15/2019 Third phone call: I did confirm the days of my trip. After that, I was meant to be completely covered (03/25/2019) In the second day of my trip a small rock hit on my windscreen and crack itself(26/03/2019) on the very same day I made a claim (when supposedly was fully covered on my trip ), we are now on 09/04/2019 ,two week later and I haven't received any help at all I'm stuck in Spain and I can't get back to U.K. ,Because my car hasn't been fixed I did spend hours and hours on the phone talking to different members of the staff and none of them couldn't give me an answer or any kind of help. In the mean while I have to pay hotels and all the expenses, I have got a problem with my job and the only thing I have heard all the time it's" sorry". They couldn't even provide me with a simple phone number, useless company and useless staff. Three years with this insurance company, I haven't done a claim in all this time and for the first time I need them this is the answer (sorry we can't do anything ) Reviewed on: 9th April 2019

One Call "Not likely"

Great price and service when you buy your insurance, the issue come when you want to change something. This company has long delays for customer service via the phone and web chat. I cancelling my insurance thinking I was trading in my car, this turned to dust and when I contacted the company and asked to continue the insurance 36 hours before the end time, I was advised it could not be done and my policy will expire. So to summarise, if you buy insurance from this company don't under any circumstance change your cover, I did and it is costing me almost 3 days wages as I still have to pay the high cancellation fee. I was invited to contact the sales team to buy new insurance. Not likely. Reviewed on: 22nd March 2019

GDMSA00825516 Complaint

Disgraceful behaviour from OneCall really. Very dishonest and disappointing. End July 2018 my husband took out insurance @£160 annual fee for his 07 Vauxhall Astra. At the same time we set up his online OneCall account using which he downloaded his pdf electronic documents. End March 2018 (four months before insurance expires) his old car packs up and (after saving for a long time) we went to buy 2014 Volvo S60. OneCall charged him £130 for remaining 4 months and £39 admin fee to simply swap the car!!! Do the maths here. Original insurance £160/12 months = £13 per month. On top of it £130/4 (remaining month) = £32.5/month, thus assuming the insurance for the new car (on an annual basis) to be £55/month, £660 per annum! I found similar insurance you can take it right now at £250 per annum. Simple maths reveals OneCall grossly overcharged us on insurance, and added £39 on top of it. It would have been cheaper to for us to cancel insurance with OneCall and take a new one out. As BBC watchdog would say, One Calls rivals charge between £15 -25 to change car details by the phone. OneCall charge £39 (knowing you are at the point of buying a car and you naively believe OneCall will make you an honest insurance upgrade especially after then FAIL to retain your online details). Not only not we got an apology for messing up our online account (where we could have free-of-charge or much smaller admin fee), but we were disgracefully overcharged for the remaining 4 months of insurance and £39 admin fee on top of it. People who rate OneCall as number 1 insurance provider probably been paid to say so or never deals with OneCall and make a terrible assumption. I do, however, see a lot of people purposely creating one-time accounts to say how great OneCall is... why would that be? Reviewed on: 19th March 2019

One Call we don't listen at all.

Thanks to One Call Insurance Services I…Thanks to One Call Insurance Services I am now uninsurable because they don't listen and act on what they are told. On 03rd June 2017 I cancelled an insurance policy within the 14 day cooling off period. There was a discrepancy on my police as I forgot I had a claim for a windscreen 3 years before. I contacted them via telephone and made it clear I didn't want to be insured with them. They told me the underwriter (premier underwritting) had given me until 09th June 2017 too rectify the details. I cancelled the policy on 03rd June 2017 but because I didn't say too them "CANCEL THIS POLICY FROM NOW" they totally ignored my request and thus placed a cancellation on my insurance history. I am still awaiting the evidence from One Call about the conversation which I am sure I told them I didn't want too proceed with them as my insurer. Later on I took out insurance with another company, ticked the box saying 'I had no policies cancelled, voided etc' and 3 weeks later was told my insurance would be cancelled because of non disclosure. Now 2 cancellations. If I go on comparison sites now for insurance they will accept your deposit or payment but you won't be covered until they speak to you and when there is 2 cancellations which aren't justified at all, they refuse too cover me. I am 52 years old, driven millions of miles, pay my taxes, insurances and now because of some ignoramus I am now uninsurable. One Call won't help,One Call have just been done by the FCA for misconduct and spending clients money so if you read reviews take note. Reviewed on: 18th February 2019

Completly disorganised

In 25 years of insuring our house i have never had so much trouble as with one call insurance, we have never claimed, they just kept messing up direct debits, making all the excuses then when i tried to cancel they wanted basicly the who years payments in charges. they are cheap for a reason. God help you if you ever need to claim. Buyer BEWARE Reviewed on: 11th February 2019

AVOID!! wish I had seen these recent reviews!!

I went against my initial judgement of picking a 'smaller' company based on reviews and a search engine based on my requirements for home insurance. This backfired hugely. The costs are lower, but the fees and charges extortionate. I had my policy cancelled and was charged for the pleasure for no reason. I contacted OneCallInsurance and have received no feedback or response after 4 days (even though I was given a direct email account to lodge my complaint against), and will report my case to the ombudsmen. PLEASE AVOID AND GO WITH A MORE REPUTABLE COMPANY." Reviewed on: 6th February 2019

Joke of a company!

Told them I didn’t want to stay with them another year. They hit me with a £159 cancellation fee. I rang and asked why, they said I had not contacted them (I did) so I have to pay the £159! Stay well away! Reviewed on: 25th January 2019

AVOID!!

Terrible Customer Service. Staff have a Don’t Care attitude! Avoid this company. Customer service lines close at 5.30pm, online chat feature only general information, call waiting times are shocking! Thankfully Cancelled my policy in time would hate to think the hassle I would have had to go through if I had to make a claim! Please avoid!! Reviewed on: 12th December 2018
