I always feel very safe using PayPal but noticed recently that the rates of exchange are pretty poor, when I needed to send some Euros to my sister. I should have sent it directly to her bank using my Chase bank card and I would have saved myself a tenner! Reviewed on: 7th May 2026

"I’ve been using PayPal for years, and it’s easily the most reliable way to pay online. What I love most is the security—I don’t have to enter my credit card details on every new site I visit. Their Purchase Protection has also saved me a couple of times when an item didn’t arrive or wasn't as described. It’s fast, secure, and accepted almost everywhere. Highly recommend!"
