Convenient for Short-Term credit use

PayPal Credit is convenient, but it comes with some important trade-offs. On the positive side, it’s very easy to use. Since it’s built into your PayPal account, you can select it at checkout and spread the cost of purchases without needing a separate credit card. The biggest benefit is the 0% interest for 4 months on purchases over £99, which resets on each qualifying purchase—this can be helpful for short-term budgeting. Overall, PayPal Credit works well if you’re organised and pay off balances within the interest-free period. But if you miss payments or carry a balance, it can become expensive quickly. It’s best used carefully, more like a short-term borrowing tool rather than long-term credit. Reviewed on: 18th April 2026
