Complete waste of time every time you ring there’s always no one available they stitched me up in a fixed rate mortgage which doubled after my house went into repossession order took me court to get my house. avoid these idiots at all costs. When they took me to court for a full repossession order I had to pay the fees added to my mortgage so after my increased interest rate which i was trapped with my mortgage and arrears came to £1700.00 a month plus bills loans living costs etc which I didn’t even earn that a month so they knew what game they was playing at. in the end I let the house go. As tbh I couldn’t really afford all that stupid mortgage moneys etc even though I had £100 k equity in the house because I was behind with mortgage I didn’t realise you could not re mortgage if you were behind with payments which is totally stupid so I lost the house in March. I had it valued approx £130_£150 k and had cash buyer but it. But they prevented me selling it. Etc so it’s repossessed and they’ve know hit it up for sale £210 k which is miles to expensive etc do Ime know basically tracked by these idiots and still have to pay monthly interest untill the idiots sell it tbh it minght never sell. Can’t stand the muppets ignorant phone manners. And con artists. All there after is your house so watch out very unsatisfied customer. Whose life they have wrecked seriously. I wanted to buy a maisonette flat with 58 years lease by using a bridging loan, for £96,000 I paid £960 Valuation fee, for Precise Mortgages to say no they won't lend. They would only lend if I paid and completed a lease extension on completion. So basically I would be paying £20,000 plus for a lease extension on a property I don't own yet. I even offered up two properties as collateral I have a buy-to-let mortgage with Precise already and never missed a payment with any of my mortgages of over 13 years. Went with another lender in the end with no problems. Stay clear of Precise Mortgages. Reviewed on: 16th July 2025

Avoid Precise Mortgages – Unfair Practices & Costly Errors I had an extremely frustrating experience with Precise Mortgages, and I strongly advise others to be cautious. They charged me £450 for a valuation and then rejected my mortgage application based on incorrect and unverified information, despite clear evidence proving otherwise. Key Issues: Incorrect Assumptions: The surveyor falsely reported that my property was "tenanted" without context. In reality, I had a lodger under the Rent-a-Room scheme, which is fully allowed under my existing mortgage. Lack of Due Diligence: Instead of verifying the facts, Precise Mortgages wrongly assumed I was renting out the entire property under an AST and living abroad, leading to an unjust rejection. Financial Impact: Their error caused significant delays and additional costs, including a bridging loan and a second valuation costing £1,020. Unwillingness to Engage: My broker attempted to clarify the situation, but Precise Mortgages refused to discuss or rectify their mistake. Their rigid and unfair approach has caused unnecessary stress, delays, and financial loss. If you're considering applying with them, think twice—there are far more reasonable lenders out there. I complained and the person investigating took 3 months only to conclude the same without once checking the facts. I have now began legal proceedings against precise Reviewed on: 14th February 2025

I tried to pay money off the mortgage and each time after I paid them the money they found another reason not to assign it to my account and each time I phoned them they came up with a different reason. Shocking customer service and kept on hold for long periods - pick someone else. Reviewed on: 21st November 2024

Absolutely horrendous company.

Absolutely horrendous company. I made the initial application payment of £465 and was advised I would receive a full refund based on the product I was taking out. 4 months on I have not received the refund, raised a complaint and they provided conflicting information and asked me to check with my bank, I provided proof of my bank statements for two full months showing no refund. I’ve now had to take this to the financial ombudsman and my bank have taken the case to get the money back. I feel very let down by this company and wouldn’t ever use them again. One star is too many

One star is too much for this company. I had to ask three times for a redemption certificate, finally received and paid by cheque to outstanding balance plus the extra for paying by cheque. Certificate received on 20/10/2023, cheque sent on the same date by recorded delivery, cheque was received by precise on 23/10/2023 and not paid in until 03/11/2023! Now they are chasing me for an outstanding balance for interest that has occurred because they didn’t submit the cheque on the date they received. I have spoken to numerous people now at precise and no one is willing to help or address this matter. Now they want to send an email to the financial team. Absolutely joke of a company. Do NOT Use - Shambolic Compant

Absolute joke of a company, we supplied all the information they requested, as we we're totally open and transparent, and we agreed a 2 year fixed deal, which we were happy with, and then at the last minute, they changed the goal posts and said they could only offer us a 5 year fixed deal, funny that, after a short fall in interest rates, talk about ripping people off, these are not to be trusted in any way, shape or form.
