Worst customer service ever

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the key replacement service I received yesterday. I trusted RAC to help me with a straightforward issue, but unfortunately, RAC service has left me with a much bigger problem. Prior to the service, my old spare key was working perfectly fine. However, after the technician completed the key replacement, neither the new nor the old key works, and I am now unable to start my car. This is highly frustrating and inconvenient, as I was expecting your service to resolve my issue, not create further problems. To make matters worse, I received an email from you advising me that this situation has nothing to do with RAC and suggesting that I take my car to a mechanic myself. This is entirely unacceptable, as the issue clearly arose from the work done by they key replacement service, making it your responsibility to rectify the situation. Reviewed on: 1st October 2024

Worst place to have Breakdown cover

The worst breakdown service ever. Shame there are no negative stars to give. Reported a breakdown at 4:15pm, rescue van came in about 45 mins. They said car needs to be towed, waited for tow truck until 11pm in the me of nowhere 100 miles away from home. And all they had to say is sorry! Shame on you. Reviewed on: 29th November 2023

Waited 10hrs in the middle of nowhere in 0 degrees

I have waited over 10hrs in the middle of nowhere in 0° on motorbike. I have been customer with them over 7 years. Never had to use them until now and I wish I was with another company. Complete waste of money. They don't care about you or your viecle. Reviewed on: 28th November 2023

Waiting for over 7 hours in the cold

Been waiting for over 7 hours in the cold waiting for my bike to be recovered thay don't care don't waste your money maybe try the aa or green flag been a rac customer for over 10 years and I have only had to call them out 2 times the first time thay refused to recover my car that was then subsequently stolen thanks yo them not doing the job I pay them to and now thay have left me at the side of the road and refused to tell me how long thay are planning to leave me sitting in the cold thanks rac for a Disgraceful service Reviewed on: 28th November 2023

Crooks

I cancelled my policy a week before it was due to be renewed and they still took the money from my account, When i complained they said the agent i delt with did not cancel the policy and it would be two weeks before I would get a refund. this is a blatant disrespect for customers and what ever happened to the 14 day cooling off period (contract law) Reviewed on: 25th November 2023

I have been waiting patiently for two days since the breakdown of our van only to be told when i called richfords motors this evening to chase the pick up like i have done for two days and two nights, that’s when I was told the vehicle cannot be seen. She said that i should ring the police because the road has double yellow lines. i said i have this vehicle tracked and it has not moved. she won’t let me speak so i screamed out of frustration. she still won’t let me speak (i don't know how these people are making their way into such positions where they are trusted to deal with frustrated human beings.) I tried to explain to this lady to speak to the driver to look around the petrol station (at this point i gathered the vehicle was within the petrol station compound but by the road and very visible) instead of listening she allowed the driver drove away wasting everyone’s time. Mind you, i called them before finding out about this. No one cared to contact me to say they could not find the vehicle. This, i am not sure happed, i don’t think anyone went to pick up this vehicle. They told me i must speak to RAC to rebook the pickup. However, when i called the first time and spoke to a lady she asked me to hold on while she speak with the richfords motors. She came back with some story that the vehicle is with the police even though i have explained that the vehicle is still there and i had called the petrol station to confirm. The lady at the petrol station even told me that they need the van moving asap because they have a delivery in the morning and the van is in the way. That lady at RAC asked me to hold on the second time and then hung up on me. I rang richfords again and was told there is nothing they could do, that i must ring RAC again. I have been treated like i am insane. i feel insulted and very stressed. I have been understanding with the whole scenario because i understand the situation with the flood but this treatment from you and your contractor left me shocked and very disappointed. I have been with you guys for over 8 years now and this treatment goes to show me the kind of service you provide. I rang the second time and this time a gentleman called Mohamed picked up and was nice. He too was poisoned with the made-up and insane story of the van being towed by the police. not sure who hired this person in this richfords office. people saying things without fact. obviously says their level of education. The RAC do not cover you if you break down on a dual garage way

Broke down on a dual carriageway, and like several other people here were told it was too dangerous for the RAC to come and get me. They left myself and my family stranded by the side of the road and even refused to send anyone when a highways officer had secured the area and diverted the traffic. Reviewed on: 9th October 2023
