The Royal Bank of Scotland fixed rate cash ISA is available for one or two years and requires an opening balance of at least £1,000. The RBS variable rate cash ISA can be opened with just £1.

i was recently contacted to inform me that my cash ISA wouldnt be earning the rate i expected and was given the option to discuss on live chat or arrange to go in branch for advice on my options ? yes i was suprised too great style of customer focused high st banking that sadly we dont hear enough of these days Reviewed on: 15th November 2016

no issues

Overall, I'm happy with my experience with RBS. They do have a good online banking system, good level of customer service and good variety of products. For someone like me, who has basic needs from their bank, it is a good choice. I don't invest nor have complex products. familiar and friendly

I must admit I never really used other banks apart from 2 credit cards I have with non-bank companies. However, when I want to leave RBS, I do find it difficult due to their prompt and friendly customer service. My banking needs are very simple so RBS meets them well. Phone service and live chat are very useful tools and save me time going to branch. Waiting times are none to low and whoever I speak is always willing to go the extra mile to help.
