Great service and reliability

Great rate for an easy access account

I originally took out a notice account with RCI, but while this was giving a great interest rate at the time, sometimes you need immediate access to your savings. Once again one of the top interest rates with Freedom Savings. Reviewed on: 9th March 2023

Untrustworthy bank

Lost my trust with this bank and there is no way to ever restore it after they suddenly removed my linked account without any explanation and took months to restore it by forcing me to reapply by post. I could not use my own money when we needed it desperately. It caused unnecessary anxiety, RCI did not even apologised. Now trying to withdraw my savings and move it to another more reliable provider with much much better and more competitive rate, the bank has kept my money for nearly a week when it says one business day. So it’s not earning any interest as it’s not appearing in the RCI account and also not in my personal bank account.I used to believe RCI was a decent bank but no longer. Terrible Customer Service

Stay away from this bank. You will wait for ever to get through on the phone and no live Chat. I am going to close my account. Reviewed on: 3rd January 2023

Interest rates

B of E increased the bank rate by .5% some weeks ago but the freedom savings rate remains unchanged. Emails enquiring as to whether a change of rate is immenent remain unanswered. May be a time to move savings?. No staff involved. Achievable electronically. SA Reviewed on: 2nd January 2023

Worst Bank Ever

I have been locked out of my account. After waiting on the phone for over an hour, I finally gave up. I was calling UK from Spain so goodness knows how much the phone call cost. This is not the first time I have had this problem and I will move my money away from RCI Bank as soon as I can access it. Appalling customer service

Wasted hours trying to withdraw my deposits despite instant access. Still waiting for funds after 2 days Reviewed on: 8th December 2022

No Response from RCI

I have tried to contact RCI bank for two weeks now. No response on phone despite holding for up to an hour several times a day. Have emailed 4 times and only get an automated response. Terrible service as I need to report a bereavement and apply for probate but unable to talk to anyone at the bank. Reviewed on: 6th December 2022

Terrible service

I have tried on numerous occasions to contact this bank - via email and phone. No response to emails despite 4 attempts. Have phoned more than 20 times and held for over one hour at a time. I am trying to contact them to deal with the estate of a deceased person and this will now delay probate. Appalling service. Reviewed on: 6th December 2022
