Untrustworthy bank

Lost my trust with this bank and there is no way to ever restore it after they suddenly removed my linked account without any explanation and took months to restore it by forcing me to reapply by post. I could not use my own money when we needed it desperately. It caused unnecessary anxiety, RCI did not even apologised. Now trying to withdraw my savings and move it to another more reliable provider with much much better and more competitive rate, the bank has kept my money for nearly a week when it says one business day. So it’s not earning any interest as it’s not appearing in the RCI account and also not in my personal bank account.I used to believe RCI was a decent bank but no longer. I have saved with RCI since before Brexit.

I have saved with RCI since before Brexit and they have always ran a great website, the app is good and the selection of accounts is useful. Faster payments was a recent improvement but I would like instant payments at the weekends. Reviewed on: 15th April 2025
