Computer say no

I had difficulty logging into my a/c last week and had to phoned customer services. The person I spoke to (Kendra) was polite and helpful but it was clear that there was something wrong with your IT systems as even after being sent a new password, the system refused to log me in. I felt I had no choice but to close the a/c and asked for my money to be transferred to my current a/c. Even this was not straightforward as your computer did not recognised my hsbc details (an account which I have held for over 30 years). Further inconvenience ensued whereby I had to send a copy of my bank statment. To cut a - very - long story short, the money has finally arrived in my a/c today, a week later, and I understand had to be made by manual transfer. Simply not good enough. I was disappointed that my first cheque was rejected by the bank., but understand even the smallest mistake - initialled - is rejected these days. Reviewed on: 18th March 2024

Prerecorded High Call volumes not SAFFRON Style.

Problem with logging on to account via one time pass code expiring too soon etc. 20 minute phone delay listening to ubiquitous prerecorded message re High Call Volumes. Unable twice to reply to Narina's call backs to my email. Still days later that irritating prerecorded message. Why not be SAFFRON and do your own more personal message? Even employ more staff? Fortunately 3rd call attempt was answered in seconds and faith in Saffron restored Reviewed on: 18th March 2024
