Card renewal - bad practice

2 male operatives didn't give the correct information and the female operative tried her best but her boss has not deemed my complaint important enough to get back to me. I received a letter from Saga stating my credit card had expired and to ring them with new details. On giving the details of my card, immediate payment for my car insurance was taken from my bank account.At no time was I told this would happen and no one would cancel the payment which was not due for 3 another 3weeks. I was told to cancel it through my bank .They told me the payment was ",pending "so it couldn't be done and to go back to Saga. This practice should be made clear in their letter or by the operative before taking my card details. It has caused me financial embarrassment and disappointment as well 2hrs on the phone trying to deal with this..I will not be renewing my insurance with Saga next year for sure Reviewed on: 25th April 2023

Have been with Saga car insurance for many years.

Have been with Saga car insurance for many years having at times 9 vehicles insured with them, so I think that’s says it all as far as I am concerned. Sadly have reduced the amount of cars we own now so it’s only 4 but they are still insured with Saga. Reviewed on: 25th September 2025

Saga Insurance has a personal approach

My Car Insurance was due and I wanted an Insurer that actually I could easily speak to and discuss the various options. Saga was the best insurer that I contacted that put me through to an agent who talked to me - very rare these days!! It made me feel confident that if ever I had a Claim it would be easy to contact Saga and speak to someone who understood our situation. Lets hope so! Reviewed on: 25th September 2025
