Card renewal - bad practice

2 male operatives didn't give the correct information and the female operative tried her best but her boss has not deemed my complaint important enough to get back to me. I received a letter from Saga stating my credit card had expired and to ring them with new details. On giving the details of my card, immediate payment for my car insurance was taken from my bank account.At no time was I told this would happen and no one would cancel the payment which was not due for 3 another 3weeks. I was told to cancel it through my bank .They told me the payment was ",pending "so it couldn't be done and to go back to Saga. This practice should be made clear in their letter or by the operative before taking my card details. It has caused me financial embarrassment and disappointment as well 2hrs on the phone trying to deal with this..I will not be renewing my insurance with Saga next year for sure Reviewed on: 25th April 2023

New car changes

When I changed my car I was given good ideas to keep the cost down on my insurance without compromising my requirements. I have now stopped paying for some features that I felt were no longer relevant for me. Reviewed on: 25th September 2025

Completely user friendly!

My mother used Saga, so when I came back from living abroad, I didn’t hesitate. I am now 76 and Saga knows just how to talk to older people, explain everything, take time to make sure everything is clear. It’s not the cheapest, but it is so comfortingly user friendly. I have found the same with the travel insurance. I would not use any other company! They even use music well known to our generation….who else gives that much attention to detail?
