Poor Bank Advice

I had a standard old Santander bank account with an overdraft which I used regularly. My bank receptionist persuaded me to convert to the 123 account saying loads about benefits but nothing about the negatives for someone who uses their overdraft regularly. When I started getting charges for something which was free with my old account, I felt very aggrieved that I wasn't given fair and balanced information regarding the account that they were pushing at me (pushing very hard I should point out). I would never have moved to the new account if I had been given the FULL details. Reviewed on: 5th February 2016

Top Current Account

I switched to a Santander 123 account about 2 years.The switching process was very easy and quick to do. It is easy to operate my account online and any queries I have are dealt with straight away by efficient and friendly telephone banking staff. Communication between bank and customer are excellent and I am impressed with the care that Santander take to keep my online banking secure and safe. Reviewed on: 5th February 2016

Good account but they've upped the price

I switched to the Santander 123 account as it was £2 a month but paid me back £8 in direct debits. I have never had any problems with them but they have just raised the cost of the account to £5 a month leaving me making £3. Not a big gripe but one thing I am not happy with. My experience as a student with Santander.

Among being quite helpful, the Santander 123 Current account offers a free 16-25 railcard, as well as instant transfers to accounts and online banking. Being a student on the go, I found this quite helpful in my day to day needs in terms of travelling and shopping around town. The account may take a while to set up but the staff are quite friendly and helpful and are willing to listen to your needs above their own to make sure their customers are ultimately satisfied! Amazing service.

I'm always losing my card, typical student, and Santander always help to advise me on the best way of keeping my card safe. With my account they also help me to make sure that my security on my account is really protected considering i'm such a liability! Always really friendly on the phone as well. Amazing service.
