I found the process of obtaining a mortgage from Scottish Building Society rather difficult and over complicated. They were overly prescriptive requiring questions to be answered that I have never come across previously when applying for a mortgage from other v=building societies As a result, the process took far longer than was perhaps necessary as some of the required information was highly detailed and took a very long time to acquire. Mortgage was approved and went through without any problems
