Peter was great in helping my partner & I obtain a mortgage. There were tight deadlines to meet the Entry date, and SBS had a high volume of applicatons to process, however Peter ensured that our application was processed & approved in sufficient time. Peter was friendly, polite and informative throughout the process and made the application easy for us to complete. We look forward to moving into our new home at the end of the month, and are greatful for the upport of both Peter & the SBS team. Reviewed on: 12th November 2022

Remortgage

We recently remortgaged to purchase a property abroad. We chose the Scottish building society to do this and were very pleased with the whole experience. Had the Product I required, Retirement Interest Only, at competitive rates.

Good to deal with a Building Society that has a local feel to it, not just a Branch of a big Bank. Deals with queries quickly, and answers the phone, not put on an endless loop of pressing buttons to get through to someone. Approval did take longer than expected, although as I went through a Broker, that could have been down to them, and not the Building Society. Would be good if you could manage your account on-line.
