Excellent!

I have held a current account with Smile for over 10 years. Whilst I understand it is very easy to switch bank accounts and that there are plenty of incentives to do so, I have no intention of closing my Smile account. I find the website easy to navigate in terms of checking my account, setting up regular payments, making one-off payments and payment transfers. Furthermore, when required (which is rarely), I have always found customer service to be excellent, providing prompt and effective responses. Highly recommended! Reviewed on: 5th July 2017

Easy and ethical

Great customer service and easy website

The customer service team are great whenever you contact them and they're always quick to respond. It's easy to use the online services and app. I'd recommend Smile to everyone, especially students, as their student account deal is one of the best. Reviewed on: 17th May 2017

Great, easy to use online banking

Ethical Bank

I joined Smile because I was looking for an ethical bank, and although it is internet only this has never been a problem as you can use the post office and co-op bank branches. Reviewed on: 3rd February 2017

No fuss bank

was a little disappointed that after 15 years of never going overdrawn I was refused an overdraft. But it is a bank that doesn't fuss, doesn't send you un-necessary emails or post, doesn't charge for current account and seems to keep on top of security. Reviewed on: 24th December 2016

Appalling new website

Current website is now impossible to use. If you manage to log in it is difficult to navigate. Does not permit you to manage your money. Get the impression staff are doing nothing but dealing with customers in despair. Reviewed on: 10th December 2016
