Delay tactics

It's been three weeks since my claim and every time I send information to So-Sure, they find a new problem. One person asked me to forward emails to prove ownership, only for the next person to say they could only accept PDFs of information. Super poor service and I will cancel as soon as possible. AVOID! Slow moving

cheap monthly payment for my iphone 12 pro but very slow to replace, its almost been a week and still not had any developments. im expecting to wait another few days for delivery once my claim has been approved. just crazy how long these things take. Reviewed on: 13th April 2022

Worst insurer I have dealt with. I had a broken screen on my phone - website claims to return phones within 1-2 working days - I was without a phone for a week. Their courier service took 3 days to get the phone to the repairer - then another 3 days turnaround. Not mentioned on their website - couriers should be next day. Claim handlers do not respond to emails - can be on hold for ages. 2nd unfortunate loss cliam. Claim filed on saturday - person said they would check phone was blocked at 9am Monday. Still not done at 4pm Monday - no phone dispatched so had to call and chase. That person said would be dispatched the next working day. 2 days later still no phone has been dispatched. I do not recommend insurance companies so sure because for over a month I have been trying to get compensation or repair my phone and every time someone says the wrong thing. The first time they gave me the wrong email address and wanted a confirmation from my mobile network. I have a screenshot for proof. The second time they said to send to the second email. My network sent them to them twice to two different email addresses and they still haven't gotten it. I have confirmation that it was sent twice but of course so sure you didn't get anything. I am very disappointed with the way the entire compensation process is handled. I do not recommend this company. Reviewed on: 4th May 2021

I DO NOT recommend insuring through So-Sure

If you are looking to insure a 2nd hand phone, I DO NOT recommend insuring through So-Sure. I insured my 2nd hand galaxy s10+ through So-Sure's website easily enough and verified through the app, I lost my phone a few months later, put in a claim and sent all information they requested except blacklisting proof. I phoned my sim provider, phone manufacturer, the store I bought the phone from and the police, none of these could blacklist my device, my sim provider actually said it is impossible to blacklist a 2nd hand phone. So far So-Sure has photo evidence I had the phone when I insured my phone, they have proof of usage, proof of purchase, proof of loss report certificate and proof of emails showing that I have tried to blacklist the device, this should be enough to approve my claim but So-Sure are still requesting proof of blacklisting or a letter from my sim provider explaining why it cant be blacklisted, my sim provider will not approve this type of letter as the phone was bought through a 2nd hand store and not through my sim provider. It has now been just over 5 weeks since I put the claim in and I just keep going round in circles as so-sure are refusing to budge, I feel with all the evidence they have, my claim should have been approved weeks ago. I really hope any potential customer looking to insure a 2nd hand device reads this review and thinks wisely whether or not to insure through So-Sure.
