Review of the so-sure, Gadget Insurance:

I DO NOT recommend insuring through So-Sure

If you are looking to insure a 2nd hand phone, I DO NOT recommend insuring through So-Sure. I insured my 2nd hand galaxy s10+ through So-Sure's website easily enough and verified through the app, I lost my phone a few months later, put in a claim and sent all information they requested except blacklisting proof. I phoned my sim provider, phone manufacturer, the store I bought the phone from and the police, none of these could blacklist my device, my sim provider actually said it is impossible to blacklist a 2nd hand phone. So far So-Sure has photo evidence I had the phone when I insured my phone, they have proof of usage, proof of purchase, proof of loss report certificate and proof of emails showing that I have tried to blacklist the device, this should be enough to approve my claim but So-Sure are still requesting proof of blacklisting or a letter from my sim provider explaining why it cant be blacklisted, my sim provider will not approve this type of letter as the phone was bought through a 2nd hand store and not through my sim provider. It has now been just over 5 weeks since I put the claim in and I just keep going round in circles as so-sure are refusing to budge, I feel with all the evidence they have, my claim should have been approved weeks ago. I really hope any potential customer looking to insure a 2nd hand device reads this review and thinks wisely whether or not to insure through So-Sure.
