Easy set up and safe

Was undecided on whether to open a full account for my son or try one of the cash card style services offered by multiple places (Go Henry, Starling etc). As I was currently banking with Starling it seemed as though this would work seamlessly and make it easy to check and track spending. The kite card is a mastercard so is accepted everywhere and was super easy to set up using my app and his own downloaded app which only gives him a balance, spend and deposit info but is also secured as a banking app should be. Setting up the card is straight forward and is very thorough on where and how much he can spend. As it's part of my own account transfering funds is a doddle. I can't really think of any negative points and would recommend to others, especially those with pre teen kids who aren't yet fully knowledgeable about finances and the cost of things. Excellent Banking

I have had my Starling account for 4 years now. So simple to use online. Being able to pay cheques and cash in using the post office is a great system. One of the reasons I took out a Kite account for my son. He uses his card sensibly and I can track his transactions. Reviewed on: 16th March 2023

Visibility, easy to use, happy children.

With so much choice out there, it was difficult to see the woods for the trees. I took the plunge and opted for Sterling's offering and have not looked back since. Being able to setup guardrails for your child's spend is a very handy feature and was so easy to setup. It's also really easy to change for those occasions where you know they will be spending more or a larger transaction. Visibility in their (children) spend is a lovely feature. <Ping> You daughter has just spent £7 at Burger place. <Ping> A book has been purchased. Let's me understand the when and where. Once setup, the card arrived in a few days and I gave the card to my daughter for her birthday. She could finally spend some of that "earned" pocket money and have a modicum of independence.
