Great that they get their own space, with a debit card for withdrawing cash and making payments online, but all visible by me, and with good controls. They get their own app, so they can check the balance at any time. The only real drawback is the lack of functionally like direct debits, for example for paying a mobile phone bill. Also I have to manually pro-rate interest payments. Reviewed on: 13th March 2024

Just the best in the market

I have always been interested in good tools to manage my finances, so I'm always on the lookout for them. When Starling became I thing I was one of the first to be in the queue for an account. That didn't mean I haven't tried other tools, but Starling is just the best of them. There are too many aspects of the service I loe to list them here, but flexibility and innovation are my top two. I also work in cybersecurity and enjoy knowing that Starling is on top of the security needs as well. Whichever field of their operations it just seems they know what's new, fresh and most up-to-date. I hope they won't change! And that's why I chose Kite to manage the first financing learning steps for my pre-teen. It's been a great experience to watch her get involved, even improving her maths score, thanks to the access to her own version of the app. And for me the best part was to have the visibility, clarity and also blazing fast service when her card got lost (oh yes, children do then to do that a lot!). Great for the kids, needs ApplePay

I currently only use Starling for two use cases, Garmin Pay for me and Kite for the children. For this Starling is fantastic, the functionality is awesome, it would be great though if we can prove the child is 13 and allow Applepay. Reviewed on: 12th April 2024

Why use anything else

Starling's Kite card and the associated children's spaces have always worked really well but the charge used to be a little off-putting. Now there's absolutely no charge for them they are even more brilliant! Reviewed on: 12th April 2024

Really simple to set up and free kids account

Very simple to set up, support service was good and simple to get help - explaining using abroad; and best addition was a very simple way to get a card for my child, where other providers have the nerve to charge me, for my child to have their own account! Reviewed on: 12th April 2024
