Great that they get their own space, with a debit card for withdrawing cash and making payments online, but all visible by me, and with good controls. They get their own app, so they can check the balance at any time. The only real drawback is the lack of functionally like direct debits, for example for paying a mobile phone bill. Kite for the win... Maybe add account numbers?

Kite is great, the only suggestion would be to add a sort code and account number to the kite space so my kids can get money paid in like normal and not just with the link. But overall a great feature. Reviewed on: 14th March 2024

Easy to set up, excellent management options.

The kite children's account was so so easy to set up and really easy to manage. There are simple settings that can be changed to limit spending or to stop contactless payments. There is even a setting to stop payments online or set maximum transactions. Adding money to the card is also really easy, either by adding it through my main account or by sending a kite link to family who can add money directly into the child's account. Starling Bank instill confidence

Starling Bank is a straight forward and easy to use bank. It instills confidence that your banking is safe and the security is reassuring. My children are learning about saving and budgeting in the safe forum of Kite. I have confidence that I can access customer support at any time and speak to a real person. Helping the emerging generation to manage money safely

Starling bank kite children’s account has allowed me to give my 3 children supervised and safe financial responsibility. It teaches them about money and managing their own money from a young age. They can see their balance and enables them to see when their money goes up and down as they spend and save. The icing on the cake is that there is no monthly subscription fee.
