Great that they get their own space, with a debit card for withdrawing cash and making payments online, but all visible by me, and with good controls. They get their own app, so they can check the balance at any time. The only real drawback is the lack of functionally like direct debits, for example for paying a mobile phone bill. Starling is simple, quick, secure & cost free overseas

Starling make the opening of an account for your child quick and easy. They can then use their card with ease and you can monitor their spending. When they turn 16 upgrading to their own Starling account is again quick and easy and if you have any questions you can access assistance swiftly. That you can use the cards overseas without any additional costs was a game changer for all of the family so now I have a Starling business account too! Reviewed on: 14th March 2024

Starling is a bank for the future.

I use the Euro account and kite facilities on Starling and they are both exceptional. Kite gives my daughter a taste of financial independence but still giving her adequate protection. The Euro account is extremely competitive exchange rate and as simple as using your card in the UK whether you're in a shop, bar or restaurant or you need to get cash out.
