The bank of the times

I have had an account for a couple years and I have watched other banks fade away. When I joined Starling, I signed up through the application on my phone. It was very easy. I confirmed my identity online, with somethey help me via live chat. I can upload cheques to my account. When I am a little out of pocket, I find a few spare pennies that have been automatically saved for me with each purchase. Starling is progressive and targets the current age and that is wonderful. Older people seem to get left behind in the times. This encourages them to adapt and embrace them. It welcomes them into the new age. Reviewed on: 5th March 2021

Very good in all the ways that count

I’m delighted with my Starling current account. It works exactly how I’d want a current account today to function - primarily app based, with real-time notifications on transactions and mainly using my phone to make purchases instead of the physical card. I love the savings goals and the way it classifies my spending into categories for an overview. Seemingly no unfair charges and I don’t see any reason to go anywhere else right now. Customer focused banking

I have used many different banks over the years but none are as customer focused as Starling Bank. The website has been built as a true e-commerce banking platform - unlike many traditional banks which have ‘grafted’ on their online banking services to their existing offer. Great product and functionality

I took a Starling account out initially because of the overseas ATM withdrawal limits which were really competitive. Since then I've moved my current account over to them because: (i) they seem to really care about security, and when they do communicate on security issues, they do in a way which never confuses me as to whether the message could actually be a scam(!); and (ii) there is always product build, which makes me think of them as a reactive, continually improving product (for example on Spaces). They seem to be less concerned about publicity than some of the other digital banks, and more concerned about making a solid, safe product, and in that sense it feels like they are the best of both worlds.
