The bank of the times

I have had an account for a couple years and I have watched other banks fade away. When I joined Starling, I signed up through the application on my phone. It was very easy. I confirmed my identity online, with somethey help me via live chat. I can upload cheques to my account. When I am a little out of pocket, I find a few spare pennies that have been automatically saved for me with each purchase. Starling is progressive and targets the current age and that is wonderful. Older people seem to get left behind in the times. This encourages them to adapt and embrace them. It welcomes them into the new age. Reviewed on: 5th March 2021

banking made super easy

My current account with Starling is brilliant. I am now in complete control of my finances. It keeps me up to date by the minute of what is coming into and out of the account. The app is very easy to use, I've had no crashes whilst using it. Any contact with Starling has been fast and efficient. Paying in cheques with a photo is fantastic. Reviewed on: 19th January 2022

Older customers this is for you to.

I read about starling bank and took the plunge and joined online because it was relatively easy to do. Age 67. Some online stuff isn't easy, young people find it easy. I had my state pension paid into the account, that was easy. It did take a while to get used to what you had to do. I like the instant lock feature on the card. You don't need to remember an obscure tel number to speak to a robotic voice etc. Making payments , bank transfers, easy. You do need to keep you mobile handy. My previous bank account was hacked 3 yrs ago. Not my fault, I was made to feel like a criminal. A friend gave me good advice report it to police fraud depot. My account was reinstated in 3 days. No explanation over the fraud, the police told me it was a bank hack not an individual like me. This account makes me feel more secure. I am in control. The more I use it the easier it is. I trust this bank more than any other bank. The enrolment with the video. Can't be copied or controlled. So no one else can take control of your account. Starling go the extra mile . The other banks cant of won't, stuck in the past. I don't miss queuing in a bank branch for a simple transaction. So if your retired, a bit sceptical of online banking. Give it a go. Excellent Customer Service

We had a problem with a company that we thought had scammed us. I contacted Starling Bank and they dealt with it immediately. The situation was resolved promptly and positively. The customer service representative kept me informed at each stage and provided very clear information. I was very impressed as other banks I have used have not provided this level of service. Smart way to bank, with the customer at the forefront of their banking.

This is the way to bank, without the old-fashioned and stuffy bankers! Everything is managed online, your budgeting is easier, you can save in pots for various things and every time you use Starling to pay for something, an alert comes up. Ensuring you can track your spending and budget correctly. I have already told my friends and family about this, bye bye TSB! I love Starling and it's compatible with my Fitbit wallet/payments for ease, plus Apple Pay. Reviewed on: 19th January 2022
