Avoid Starling Bank they don't let you use your own... Avoid Starling Bank they don't let you use your own money by stopping you transferring it between your own accounts and also returned a £20 direct deb... Read more Reviewed on: 21st August 2026

I have had an account for a couple years and I have watched other banks fade away. When I joined Starling, I signed up through the application on my phone. It was very easy. I confirmed my identity online, with somethey help me via live chat. I can upload cheques to my account. When I am a little out of pocket, I find a few spare pennies that have been automatically saved for me with each purchase. Starling is progressive and targets the current age and that is wonderful. Older people seem to get left behind in the times. This encourages them to adapt and embrace them. It welcomes them into the new age. Reviewed on: 5th March 2021

Such a great bank. Sign up is very quick and easy and didn't take long at all. Love that I can lock and unlock my card and love the spaces feature - I've been using it for the past year to save towards things and absolutely love it. The Round-Ups are a great feature too. My experience was immediate. Every transaction very clearly indicated and categorized , the app very easy to use . It informs every card transaction made by text, keeping your daily expenditure up to date . I feel much more in control of my finances . Reviewed on: 18th February 2021
