Been with Monzo and Starling banks Starling stands out with fee free atm abroad , free cash deposit at post office, low overdraft fees and just feel better. Reviewed on: 7th February 2020

Best Banking Experience

I love how easy it is to bank with Starling. I like the convenience of being able to pay in cash at the Post Office as they are everywhere. I like i get interest on my current account balance. Most of all when we travel (I know we haven't for awhile with Covid restrictions) paying using the card or withdrawing money in another currency has no fees, just a straight transfer of currency value straight out of your account balance. Saves carrying cash or changing to much or not enough money before you go away. The app is great and has lots of features. No fees and no nonsense. Just a really good bank! Efficient, friendly, modern banking

Everything about Starling feels customer-first, from the simplicity of opening an account, to the packaging of the card (which was dare I say it - fun to open!), to the ease of contacting customer support, and the frictionless way in which I can control my cards, payments and spending. That's without even mentioning the features of the financial product! Zero percent on spending abroad has been revolutionary for me! I never hesitate to recommend Starling to everyone and anyone - I've switched around a lot of banks in the past 5 years, and Starling is head and shoulders above the rest. Great features

The app itself is really all you need from opening your account to managing your money. I love the 24/7 customer service though which is available through message. They reply instantly, its more like a chat function and have always answered my query. I was looking to find a child account, but they don't do one hence I couldn't find it. The FAQ section is extensive. I love how easy the app is to use and how everything is in one place. Just a click and its there. Best account I've ever used by far. Reviewed on: 22nd January 2021

Banking that just works how you want it to

Starling seems to have thought of everything. Their app is just so straightforward, gets out of your way and lets me quickly do the things I want with my bank account. Reviewed on: 22nd January 2021

Ethical, modern, technologically progressive

Switched over to Starling at the beginning of last year. Have found it to be reliable and for notifications, payments, refunds, etc to come through instantly. The advanced notification of incoming payments (salary) and outgoing debit orders, as well as information about which debit orders are registered on your account (the very moment they get linked to your account) is spectacular. It's also one of Ethical Consumer's highest-rated banks for ethics. Anne Boden and her team have done an incredible job with Starling and I look forward to seeing what more they do. A credit card facility and overdraft would be nice on Joint Accounts--for now it seems that Joint Accounts aren't treated as primary accounts for couples but rather as a separate account shared by couples. All the same, it's a fantastic bank and one I'm happy to have switched over to. Just wish we could switch our credit card over, too. Reviewed on: 22nd January 2021
