Best bank

I moved all my banking to Starling almost three years ago and am still a very happy customer. Unlike a number of other neobanks, Starling have maintained their free services for personal customers, including fee-free foreign spending, fee-free foreign cash withdrawals and no penalties for being overdrawn. They've also maintained a small amount of credit interest despite the low base rate. Over the last year, Starling introduced in-app digital cheque imaging. I have used the service and it's fantastic! Cashing a cheque is as simple as taking a photo and the money is credited quickly. My favourite feature has to be Spaces - the ability to create separate pots away from your main balance. I have over 25 set up and find them useful for a variety of reasons. It's a great way to save for things like holidays and Christmas, and a really good way to budget for things that are billed annually, such as Amazon Prime. I recommend Starling to all my family and friends. They have recently introduced children's spending cards (Starling Kite) and I look forward to seeing what innovative feature they bring out next! Easy easy easy

Everything about the bank is easy from downloading and opening an account to straight away being able to use Apple Pay on your new card which has not arrived yet! Alerts are perfect and always alert me straight away to what I have just spent or to a direct debit which is coming the next day. Love it! Reviewed on: 18th January 2021

Easy, fast and free

Signing up to Starling Bank was an easy process, all done via a smart phone (which you need to manage the account), but most people have one these days and it keeps costs down. Way down - most transactions, etc on a personal account are free! I travel a lot, and in the countries where it is accepted you can use it, fee free in an ATM to withdraw cash and they give you somewhere close to the midrate exchange rate on your money. Unlike some banks which charge you a % of the money changed by giving you a lower rate. I've never used it in a shop so I can't comment on that, but many countries I go to don't like cards anyway - they want cash in the shops! I would say that Starling is the best bank card to carry if you travel a lot. Reviewed on: 18th January 2021

Truly Amazing!

Starling Bank has made my life as a student so much easier. The notifications when money enters and leaves your account are useful for keeping on top of my money. The app layout is much easier easier navigate than it's rivals. Customer Service being available 24x7 is a godsend as well.
