Avoid Starling Bank they don't let you use your own... Avoid Starling Bank they don't let you use your own money by stopping you transferring it between your own accounts and also returned a £20 direct deb... Read more Reviewed on: 21st August 2026

Starling Bank adds to my happiness

I love having saving pots within my Starling Bank account. They represent visually (with pictures and savings amounts) all my goals to better my life. Using my card to purchase items and getting immediate notifications helps me to stick to my monthly budget. A very good service I enjoy using on a daily basis. Reviewed on: 25th January 2020

Easiest banking ever.

Easy to use app. Love the way I can control card through app and receive instant confirmation of my spend. More flexible with higher limits than competitors. Great for travel as we get the wholesale exchange rate which is much more favourable than tourist rates. Reviewed on: 25th January 2020

This is what Banking should be like

I've become so disillusioned with the big Banks. Everything seems to be a problem, and costs cutting seems to be their only response to the challenges of the future. Starling is so refreshingly imaginative in its approach. Lots to find out, but very very simple to make it do things other banks make complex. An example - paying for our holiday to a European account in Euros. Took 2 minutes with Starling. The same with Lloyds - 10 minutes. Oh - and Starling is significantly cheaper for the same transaction. It is a no-brainer. Reviewed on: 25th January 2020
