Step change have been my saviours

They have helped me more than any words can express and I will be grateful to them for the rest of my life Reviewed on: 8th July 2020

I have advised several people to contact Step change.

I initially had a poor experience with one step change advisor who gave me the wrong advice but it was righted a year later by another advisor and I have no regrets contacting them now. I would say that this charity saved my life because although I have equity in my house, I'm not physically well enough to go through the stressful process of selling up and moving. I have P.T.S.D. and physical chronic conditions and my Husband has Autism. The debts were as a direct result of our health conditions. Step change even delved into why we were in debt in the first place and were extremely professional, sympathetic and most importantly in our corner. We have no relatives and are very isolated. Life savers

Step change literally saved my life. I was spiralling downwards due to depression caused by over relying on credit cards and getting deeper into debt. True help

I must start off saying I really don't like ro ask for help ..... stepchange made that easy for me ! They guided me through a dilemma, with understanding of my lack of knowledge in this trial... You are not alone.

Being in debt is a very lonely place, the world seems inhospitable and the future bleak. The best thing I ever did was to contact Stepchange. They understood how I was feeling and guided me through taking control with facts and kindness without being judgemental. Stepchange helped me structure my finances so that I now feel confident running my budget and communicating with creditors. They helped me lift the biggest burden ever off my shoulders.
