I first contacted StepChange in 2020 - right after covid hit. Everyone I've spoken to at every step (no pun intended) of the way have been kind, supportive and non-judgemental. When completing your expense forms, they won't treat you harshly or question your habits, but they will be fantastically supportive and helpful. StepChange suggested I did an IVA, but for various reasons I didn't want to do that - the choice was mine and I wasn't forced into doing anything I didn't want to. Amazing customer service

I was continually struggling with trying to make even minimum payments on my credit cards.i entered everything I could think of that I needed to pay out each month and Stepchange agreed a payment amount equalling what was left over. They took over my debts and contacted all the relevant companies to arrange a payment. The stress was limited immediately and 1 year on I was able to renew my plan even though I had to increase outgoing s. The staff are very considerate and non judgemental when you speak to them.
