Removed all the stress

I was being hounded by debt collectors after I had been using loans and payday loans after breaking up with my partner and needed to get a house and furniture which quickly snowballed due to having to pay everything on my own as well as the new debts, after contacting step change we did a budget I could afford and they contacted all my debtors and now I can make payments without the fear of being hounded with letters and phone calls trying to take me to court. Understanding, calming & helpful

We were really struggling due to a hugely reduced income as a result of the covid pandemic and health issues. We felt terribly embarrassed approaching Stepchange but they put us at ease straight away, reassuring us that they could help. Helpful

Step change staff are easy to talk to on the phone. They tell you straight what they can do or not do for you. The have given me peace of mind and kept my head above water. The other thing l like about thing l like about StepChange is the useful e-mail they send me. l say to people do not burry your in the sand and think the problem will go away, they are there to help. Turned my life around
