Wonderfully supportive agency

StepChange changed my life. I have coped with Debt since a young age leaving University and I could see a way out. StepChange changed that for me and gave me hope and some joy back in my life.The impact of debt should never be underestimated and to find help from a free agency that have been nothing short of amazing with me, is something I will be eternally grateful for. Stepchange are amazing, I would recommend to anyone in debt

I was in debt up to my eyeballs, almost £20k. They helped me make a financial statement and handled all contact with my creditors for me. The majority of my creditors (the exception being capital one.) agreed to freeze the interest and charges which would of made it impossible to pay the debt back. Now 4 years later i have only 4 payments left to make and i will be debt free. Before i found Stepchange, i was juggling my money paying the minimum payment on one card, then withdrawing it a day later to pay another. If your drowning in debt don't leave it too late like i did, get in touch with Stepchange straight away and let them help you like they did me. Reviewed on: 22nd July 2021

stepchange helped me to live again

i used to run my own small business and had a few credit cards,at the age of 44 my life changed as i had a massive heart attack,it turned out i had a very rare disease which affected most of my body,things stopped working and i actually died twice,within 6 months i become disabled as i could not longer walk,i was put on steroids so i ballooned in weight,the list goes on,of course i could no longer work,i had no money and relyed on my partner to pay my bills,i contacted stepchange and they put me at ease and helped to review my situation,my debts were made more manageable as i was put on a debt plan,im still on it as i will never get better,stepchange have always been there and have been very understanding.
