It was absolutely fantastic help from start to finish.

It was absolutely fantastic help from start to finish. It took 8 days in total. I'm sitting here now a lot happier than I was 3 weeks ago. They put me forward (against their recommendation) for a DRO, which was passed 2 weeks ago, and because I have their backing, I have been able to liaise with my creditors a lot easier, and they have actually helped me due to my underlying health issues. Thank you to them all from Stepchange and also Money Wellness (the people who organised my finances and submitted my DRO application) From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU. Life saver

I was in terrible debt sleepless nights, stressed and short tempered. I wanted to pay any excess income to the people I owed without a company taking a fee. I am now nearly debt free after 11 years. Stepchange have been the best support I could ask for. Reviewed on: 12th August 2022

Peace of mind

I wasn't sleeping, already suffering from depression my tablets had to be increased, my partner had got us into 30,000 of debt but just couldn't care less. At my wits end I tried several other debt management services but they all took a percentage, I was already in debt, I needed all the repayments to go towards paying it off. It was called CCCS then, I think I actually cried on the phone when we'd gone through the figures & they said they could help consolidate all the debts , stop the firms hassling me, take the burden off my shoulders. They continue to help me, quite a few years on but I've never felt pressured to pay back more than I can afford, their advice, now as Step Change, has been invaluable.
