Helped me through a bad period when I had nowhere to turn too . Probably saved my life and marriage with the support and understanding they provided

I ran up online gambling debts due to depression.my husband found out as I was of control trying to pay credit cards. In several occasions it crossed my mind there was only one way out the mess but I got in touch with StepChange . They listened and helped . Made me realise I’m not alone . I have never gambled since and I am in a happy place . They made me realise I can live on a budget and still have some money for important things in life . I owe StepChange a massive thankyou. A bright light when I was in a dark place!

I got to a point when I could not see a way out of the financial mess I was in. One phone call and not only was I given a solution, it was explained my choices and the processes in both a clear and more importantly, a non judgemental manner! I felt the person I spoke to really understood my plight and genuinely wanted to help me. Over the years I have spoken to quite a few staff from the company and have always been given the help and advice I need in a caring and understanding manner!!!
